Isabel was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her father was born in Australia, and her mother is Swiss. Her family was originally from Cairns in Australia. They resided in Cairns Australia. With her sister Nina Isabel, she attended schools in which First Nations and other children with different cultural backgrounds were welcomed. Isabel currently lives within Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was a performer in her school. Her studies continued at Queensland University of Technology (Victorian College of Arts) as well as, most recently, she was studying Perdekamp's Emotional Technique PEM. She never auditioned for parts until being asked by her agent in 2002. She was auditioning for the role of Tasha on the show Home and Away 1998. Producers thought she wasn't suitable for the role, however they were pleasantly surprised to create a different role for her Tasha. She played her first TV role for three years. In recognition of her performance she was awarded a Logie Award. Isabel relocated from Los Angeles, California in 2008. In 2009, her breakthrough part was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In the time since then, Isabel has starred and been awarded in numerous US productions as well as Australian ones. Isabel recently played a part in Bosh & Rockit Ocean Boy which is fast becoming an Australian iconic film, as well as the soon to be released thriller Lunacy.
